For 25 years, Helping Irondequoit Plan for Progress, Inc. (HIPP) has rolled up our collective sleeves as an all-volunteer group to bring positive change to the Titus-Cooper-Hudson District in Irondequoit, NY.
HIPP’s vision is to capitalize on the potential of this vital neighborhood center to become a pedestrian-friendly, aesthetically pleasing and commercially successful district.
Local Landmark Application: We submitted an application to the Irondequoit Historic Preservation Commission (IHPC) to designate the building at the corner of Cooper and Titus as a local landmark. This application will be heard by the IHPC at their monthly meeting on Thursday October 27th 7:30 PM at Irondequoit Town Hall in the Broderick Room. THIS IS A CHANGE OF DATE FROM THE ORIGINAL HEARING DATE (8/15/22). Ann has written an open letter to the community regarding this application, which can be read in full on our News page.
HIPP has sponsored a number of public art initiatives in the Titus-Cooper-Hudson area, including two murals, an artistic bench and paintings on the silver electrical boxes.
